Scotland, 1926. After his father's suicide, David Gordon faces his first problems of life in their old home. Yet his life is soon to be threatened by the dark secrets that destroyed so much of his father's sanity. David, whose life has been haunted by nightmares, fears that his fate may be the first to follow in his father's footsteps towards madness and death.

Is there indeed a curse haunting her family, such as her father believed? David Gordon, his father was well known for being insane. Yet he's surprised when he's called to his family's home in the Scottish Highlands after his family has come back to life. The last weeks of his father's life are not well known, but the circumstances of his death seem to be more than special. The settlement of the inheritance is a pretext for David to discover more about the castle where his father grew up, to meet the family he never knew, and to shed some light on the mystery surrounding his father's death.
