Discover the pleasure of controlling a German steam traction classic with the DR BR 86, now available for Train Simulator! This unified steam locomotive (Einheitsdampflokomotive BR86) was built between 1928 and 1943 by most German railway manufacturers. Intended for hauling freight trains on branch lines throughout Germany, it was also purchased by Deutsche Bundesbahn, ÖBB and PKP.

After 1942, "war transitional" variants were built, with a simplified design for cheaper and easier construction and maintenance. During its years of service, the Series 86 hauled some incredible ore trains with the help of Series 52 DBRs.

The DR BR 86 for Train Simulator reproduces the 86 series steam locomotive as it ran for the DB and DR as a mixed locomotive, in black and red livery. Equipped with modern safety systems such as the PZB, it is accompanied by Ucs wagons in DB white and DB black livery, and Shimms wagons in DB Schenker and Railion livery. The locomotive is also Quick Drive compatible, giving you the freedom to drive the DR BR 86 on all Train Simulator Quick Drive railroad lines.
