The origins of Trulon: The Shadow Engine
The first sketches of the game world date back to 2007, before game designer Johan Lillbacka got in touch with Jak Koke to write a novel set in the Trulon universe. The novel, "Shadow Gears", was published in 2016. After creating the universe, Johan developed the stories of the various characters for his game. He has always loved science fiction and fantasy, so the result is a wonderful blend of steampunk and JRPG, with fantastic machines that run on magical energy.
