Train Simulator: LGV: Marseille - Avignon Route Add-On

Purchase Train Simulator: LGV: Marseille - Avignon Route Add-On as a Steam key on FrsGames.com and discover France's high-speed rail network with the famous TGV® Duplex. The 105 km (65-mile) route is located between Marseille Saint-Charles and Avignon TGV, and features magnificent landscapes of the South of France as well as numerous tunnels and viaducts.

Construction of the LGV Méditerranée

Construction of the LGV Méditerranée began in 1996 to link southeastern France with the capital, Paris. It stretches for 257 km (160 miles) and passes through Avignon and Aix-en-Provence before terminating in Marseille. The LGV Méditerranée is operated by SNCF with TGV Duplex high-speed trains, running under 25 kV AC catenary and capable of speeds of up to 320 km/h. These high-speed trains have cut journey times from Paris to France's southern coast to just 3 hours.

Stations

The line serves four stations, three of them brand-new: Valence TGV station, a single multi-level station offering easy connections between high-speed and regional trains; Avignon TGV station, made popular by its proximity to Avignon city center; and Aix-en-Provence TGV station, popular for its easy access to northern Marseille and Marseille airport. The last station is Marseille Saint-Charles.

Signage

The LGV Méditerranée is equipped with the TVM430 (Transmission Voie-Machine) signalling system, an in-cab signalling system designed for the operation of high-capacity high-speed trains. TVM430 displays in-cab information telling the driver how fast to travel, without the need for conventional trackside equipment.

Scenarios

Train Simulator offers scenarios for the route, as well as tutorials on BAL and TVM430 signalling. You'll also find additional free scenarios in the Steam Workshop.
