The End, a captivating game with a cyberpunk plot

The End is a third-person action-adventure game set in a cyberpunk world, where you play a captive fox. A mysterious deity frees you and asks you to join her on a quest to find the last humans in this world. During this adventure, you'll have to protect your little one from the dangers that surround him: irradiated rats, drones with unpredictable behavior and dangerous cyborgs.

Gameplay

To survive in this hostile world, you need to be smart and memorize your route, solve puzzles and dodge dangers. You'll use the joystick or keyboard and mouse to move around, play dead to avoid being noticed, sleep to recuperate and grab or pose with your maw. You can also attack or jump and shoot down cyborgs by running fast behind them or kicking their legs.

Environment and AI

The End takes place in a subway, tunnels, several streets, the inside of an apartment, building corridors and a forest big enough to get lost in. Flying robots make the rounds, cyborgs follow you if they notice you and kick you, rats attack your cub and cyborgs are activated based on your actions.

Development

The game is divided into episodes, the first of which lasts just over an hour and goes from freeing the fox to meeting the goddess Inari. I bought resources to develop it and created those I couldn't find. I've been working on the game since May 2017 and 30 people have tested it, whose opinions I've taken into account.

The End is inspired by the films Akira, Project HK, Ghost In the Shell, Oni and the famous Blade Runner!
