You can play as a submarine captain, engineer, mechanic, doctor or assistant. Your submarine's many onboard systems, from nuclear reactors to sonar, will need to be made to work. You'll also have to create tools, drugs and weapons thanks to the comprehensive crafting system. What's more, you'll be able to explore alien ruins and wrecked submarines to find rare artifacts and resources.
