Discover Children of Morta, an Action RPG adopting a "rogue-lite" approach to character progression. You play as a family of extraordinary heroes, and must carve your way through procedurally generated lands, dungeons, and caves, slicing up your opponents. Led by the Bergson family, fight the Corruption and discover the emotions aroused by love and hope, desire and uncertainty, but also loss and the sacrifices we're willing to make to save those we hold dear.

Gameplay

The game features a unique blend of action/adventure RPG, rogue-lite and Hack'n'slash. As you gain levels, you not only advance your characters, but also the entire family. A character's death is never permanent, and you can choose to embody another family member between games.

Exploring dungeons

The game's dungeons are procedurally generated, which means they're different with each adventure. Each dungeon can consist of two to four levels, with a unique final boss. You can return to previous dungeons at any time to gain extra EXP or finish all side quests.

Characters and skills

Ranged attacks, spells, blocks, stuns, dodges and passive skills are available to players. You can choose between six family members, each with their own skills: John, Linda, Kevin, Lucy, Mark and Joey.

Visual style

Children of Morta combines hand-drawn pixel art and frame-by-frame animation with modern lighting techniques to bring its sumptuous, dangerous world to life.
