Play from two different angles

Dead By Daylight brings together 5 players in games involving 1 serial killer and 4 victims who must do everything in their power to survive. The cast of 16 playable killers includes some of the biggest names in horror cinema, including Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Freddy Krueger from Nightmare On Elm Street and John Kramer from Saw.

Take into account that killers can move faster than you and kill you in 2 shots, the first weakening you and reducing your ability until you can heal yourself in some way. This will force you to prepare a defense strategy with your partners.

The different victory conditions

There are several ways to win against the player playing the serial killer. You can search for the safe zone where you can escape continuously until the timer runs out. A total of 17 victims are playable, each with their own look and personality that may prove useful in specific situations.

Usually you'll need to collect generators (usually 5 in number) to repair doors and escape before you're killed.

You'll also be able to use an escape hatch that opens when there's only one surviving player left; try to find it to escape the map and win the game.

A multitude of useful objects

To help you survive, items are arranged throughout the map. So you'll find everything you need to heal and defend yourself in a variety of ways.

Flashlights can be used to blind the killer so you can escape more easily, and paddles can be dropped on your enemy to temporarily stun him. Toolboxes contain everything from sabotaging the hooks storing the killer's victims to making bear traps.

Maps will be laid out in the map and, once collected, will allow you to pinpoint the precise location of other items to make it easier to obtain them.

Finally, medical kits allow you to heal your precious energy bar or help your injured partners.
