With Sea Of Thieves, you can choose to play the role of a sailor or pirate as you set off on an adventure across the seas and oceans of the world. Choose your side for a more or less aggressive approach and return victorious from your excursion!

Choose your side

Sea Of Thieves lets you embody either a sailor or a pirate with your crew, and depending on the choice you make a different gameplay and objective will be applied.

If you play a sailor, you'll have to take on missions such as searching for an island and going there to bring back valuable items. Fight off a horde of enemies and solve a riddle once you arrive on the island, then do everything you can to protect yourself and prevent buccaneers from looting your booty on the way back.

As a pirate, your objective will be to scour the seas to find sailors' ships and launch attacks to steal their treasures.

Weapons and sea monsters

Each player starts with 4 non-upgradeable weapons, which are the blunderbuss, flintlock rifle, sniper rifle and knife. You'll be allotted a set number of rounds of ammunition, after which you'll have to search for ammo crates scattered around the map to reload your weapons.

Sea creatures like kraken and megalodons will occasionally appear and grant you bonuses when you shoot them. A very rare megalodon, the Wrapped Ghost, can be lured with gold.

The various game modes

Sea Of Thieves gives you access to the following game modes:

• The single-player mode where you control your crew alone and must therefore manage all the parameters and functions of your boat.
• The cooperative mode to play with your friends and distribute roles in a complete teamwork
• The multiplayer mode to play with players from all over the world, it is in this mode that you will be able to embody a pirate.
