Tune up your ship

The ship editor is the heart of the game. Thanks to it, you can assemble your own spaceship for free, using a very wide choice of over 64 modules. Depending on how you build your craft, its features and capabilities will differ: each module costs money, weight and energy, and putting together an efficient building will become a real challenge!

Expedition and discovery mode

Expedition mode lets you set off on an adventure in a computer-generated galaxy populated by von-Neumann enemies. You start with a small, basic ship and advance by completing missions, discovering new hostile species and collecting powerful unknown components to upgrade your ship. In discovery mode, you have the chance to develop the ship of your dreams.

Artificial intelligence

BossConstructor being a single-player game, emphasis has been placed on the artificial intelligence system. The von-Neumann enemies you'll encounter in expedition mode have been carefully crafted using highly elaborate artificial intelligence, for which a large number of ships have competed to achieve the highest survival rate. Several bonus game modes let you take a leisurely look at how these different species of artificial intelligence fight each other for survival, and how each generation evolves.
